BEST INDOOR HOUSE PLANTS FOR BEGINNERS
If you follow me on instagram you know how much decorating my home has meant to me. I’ve loved adding special touches to each room to make it more cozy and chic! One of my favorite things to add has been plants! From my patio, to my living room and even my office, I love picking something green to bring extra life and brightness to my rooms. There’s something about adding live greenery or fresh flowers, that just completely changes the vibe and lifts your mood.
I’ve been getting tons of questions on where I get the plants, pots/bases and what some of my favorite types of plants are so I wanted to try and answer them all in one with a blog post!
Q: WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR PLANTS?
I’ve had plants delivered to me from Bloomscape before, however I’ve also used amazon and Plantz.com (for the bigger + taller birds of paradise + palms). I was a bit unsure at first about buying plants online, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well it works! Both, the orders from Plantz.com and from Costa Farms , were packaged super securely and stayed extremely fresh! The sill and the Bouqs also have plants! Most of these services also have great insight and tips for caring for plants which is super helpful!

Q: WHAT ARE THE BEST PLANTS FOR INDOORS?/ WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE PLANTS?
There are so many different types of plants out there, so its important to be smart about your plant choice. I always look for beachy, more summery plants (like the Birds of Paradise, Monstera, and classic palm tree) just because its more of my aesthetic, but as cliche as it sounds, follow your heart and what makes you happy, just make sure that you can take care of it.
Some of the most popular house plants are the Snake Plant (great for low light), aloe plant (great for burns!), pothos plant (super cute on shelves and great for beginners), fiddle leaf fig and money tree.
Q: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR POTS, PLANTERS + PLANT BASES?
For the ones from amazon, you have the option of deciding which base you want. You can choose between a planters pot, a grey and white decorative pot or a woven basket. Planters Pots are then most affordable and are are the black plastic kind that you see plants have at stores like home depot, its best if you already have a base or want to replant it.
