BATHROOM ORGANIZATION TIPS

If you’re anything like me, your bathroom ends up being the dumping ground for dirty clothes, beauty products and toiletries, hair tools…..you feel me? All of this clutter adds up and can be super frustrating, especially if you have a tiny space.

Today that’s all about to change. I’m here to tell ya that organizing your bathroom is easier than it sounds, and actually a great way to reduce mental stress, especially with everything going on lately, and I mean lets be real, who doesn’t have a little extra time on their hands?

Sharing the ultimate list of tips for creating a clean, organized bathroom, no matter what your space or style is below!

TIP 01 | BEAUTY TOOL HOME.

Have a designated hair station somewhere (ie, under the sink, in a hall closet, in a drawer, etc). I have an open vanity under the sink, so I like to keep everything in the hall closet rather than out in the open to eliminate clutter. Wherever you decide, grab a large bin or basket, wrap cords around curling irons, straighteners, and blow dryers to prevent tangling and designate this their new “home”. (the key is too make sure to put it back in its “home” every time you’re done with it!)

TIP 02 | FOCUS ON FUNCTION.

It seems like common sense, but you should keep your tools next to where they’ll be used. This makes it easy to grab and use quickly. Store your bath products in a closet, and only pull out what you’re actually using at that time (no one likes an over-cluttered shower!). Since I have everything in the hall closet, I organize bins by category (hair products, hair tools, everyday skincare vs extra skincare, first aid, etc). Make sure to have your makeup and everyday skincare/hygiene products closest to you and within close reach, I love this stackable plastic organizer with drawers so you can see everything.

TIP 03 | LAZY SUSAN IT UP.

Use spinning organizers for makeup products.  We’re all a little lazy from time to time, but a spinning organizer makes it so simple to see everything you have and grab it easily without knocking over things in your way, while minimizing space,

TIP 04 | LABEL, LABEL, LABEL!

Ok, call me a crazy labeling lady, but I own it proudly! Labeling your products allows you to know where everything goes, and also helps keep track of how much of one item you have so you know when it’s time to restock. Love my little label maker.

TIP 03 | THROW OUT THE TOWEL.

I’d never tell you to throw in the towel, but I would suggest throwing one or two out. Purge your towels every couple months. Towels take up a lot of space, so if you invest in quality over quantity, and wash it frequently, there’s no need to keep a ton.

TIP 05 | CLEAN & CLEAR COUNTERTOPS.

Keep a clear countertop, I promise you it’s life changing! Clutter creates anxiety, so do your best to keep your sink and counter clean and clear. Try using apothecary jars for essential items, then organize the rest of your things in drawers—but remember not to just toss them in! Small baskets or drawer organizers are great options for keeping your drawer neat.

Ta-da! I told ya it was easy! With these few tips, you can get an organized bathroom in minutes.
