FIVE SUPER-EASY DOLLAR STORE DIY'S FOR HALLOWEEN
I decided to get a little bit creative when it came to Halloween decor. As easy as it is to walk into Marshalls or T.J.Maxx and pick up everything and more that I didn’t know I needed, I wanted to be a little bit more budget friendly and found these 5 super. easy Dollar Store DIY projects for halloween.
TRICK OR TREAT MUGS
The first project and probably the easiest was these adorable Trick or Treat mugs. I picked up a set of orange mugs from Dollar Tree and found these awesome sticker letters at Marshall’s which were 40% off . They were the perfect “spooky” font and were SO easy stick on and apply; these turned out even better than I imagined.
MAKE THESE MUGS:
I typically opt for a pre-made wreath but this fall I felt a little extra creative and wanted to play around with making my own and I’m super impressed with myself.
I chose more yellows and oranges to stick with the fall theme and mix and matched with three pieces that had pumpkins on them as accents. You can really pick and choose whatever speaks to you, wether that be traditional oranges and yellows or more spooky flowers or halloween accents, like skeletons or spiders!
Once I cut each stem piece from the main stem, it was super easy and really fun to play around with the placements and just used some thin wire to secure.
FALL WREATH :
This was one of the funnest crafts. Lay out the black mesh (I ended up doubling mine for a bit thicker of a wrapping), tuck the loose end up and into the top. Fill the jar with either battery operated lights or I used mini orange halloween lights from Dollar Tree, and fasten the netting on the bottom with either tape or a pin of sorts.
Note: I noticed the lights I chose made the jar/net get a little hot overtime, so make sure that you don’t keep them plugged in for to long to prevent a fire ;)
MAKE THESE SPOOKY JARS:
Would you believe these hands are actually tongs?! LOL talk about multi-purpose. The whole decor for our flower beds was less than $10, including these tong hands we inserted as if someone was climbing out of the ground, Beware + Keep Out Signs and glow in the dark mesh netting for the bushes. Were going to add some real pumpkins as well, but for $10 this was a super easy and affordable way to spice up the front yard.
EASY OUTDOOR DECOR FOR UNDER $10:
I picked up a few of these 8” glass candles in white and black and used the extra letters from the coffee mugs to decorate them to say “Boo”. We already had the beach candle holders that we use year round, so I thought placing the “Boo” candles inside was a festive touch and accented well with the black mesh lights.
