SPRING BREAK 2017: JAMAICA
This spring break I was super fortunate enough to be able to travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica with my mom, my aunt, my sister and two of our best friends. It was honestly one of the best experiences and biggest culture shocks I’ve ever experienced. It made me feel super fortunate to have the things we take for granted everyday in America (like wifi Lol).

On one of the days we took a booze/snorkel cruise which was a complete blast! We had so much fun. Getting a one-on-one snorkel tour over the reefs was a once in a life time experience, the crew mates knew exactly where to show us and how to calm our fears.
Getting to interact with the locals and see the culture first hand was unbelievable. Everyone is so nice and every single person is so happy to be doing whatever it is they’re doing, things that us Americans would complain about; it was so inspiring.
We took a last minute day trip one day to Negril for some American interaction at one of the biggest tourist spots in Jamaica, Ricks Cafe. We jumped off the cliff (the lowest one of course) and got to watch others jump from the higher jumps.
The highlight of my trip was getting to swim with the dolphins and hold a sting ray at Dolphin Cove.

Everything about the trip, including the villa, was just perfect and way better than I could have expected. I had been feeling super overwhelmed and bogged down with stress, so this was the perfect vacation and get away that I needed to get my sanity back.
The staff was exceptional and truly helped us feel at home. Odion, our butler, made the best rum punches and was there to answer any stupid question us Americans asked. Arlene was our amazing cook who encouraged us to try (and made us fall in love with) authentic Jamaican Couisine. Dilano, our driver, put up with our obnoxious selves and our late night adventures. Every time we went out he made sure we were safe and he even came and partied at the bars with us!
Cheers to an unforgettable vacation, can’t wait for the next one (hehe).
