THE MUST HAVE PET-GIFT THIS CHRISTMAS

I'm sure all pet owners could relate on this, but my dog Millie is my pretty much my baby. There's no denying she's a member of our family and one of my worst fears is her running away. We adopted her from Operation Paws For Homes, so she did come microchipped. However, that doesn't quite reassure my fears because its contingent on someone finding her AND taking her to a place where she could be identified.

That's why I was super excited to find out about Pawscout and could't wait to Collab with them on this post, just in time for the Holidays!  Pawscout knows how important pets are to us and they want to eliminate the heartache of loosing your loved pet by creating a community of engaged pet owners based around an interactive mobile app.

SO WHAT IS IT?

It's an affordable (like very affordable!) and lightweight pet tracker that works for cats and dogs of all sizes and comes in a ton of awesome designs and color options. You can also choose to have a custom engraved face plate added with your pet's name and information. It uses Bluetooth technology to locate and track your pet within a two hundred foot radius and works in real-time. It's roughly the size of a standard dog tag and attaches to your dogs collar in exactly the same way.

The tag itself is less than twenty dollars and for an additional ten dollars you can add the custom name place. There is no monthly fee for the Pawscout service and the Pawscout mobile app is free to download, you just have to buy the tracker! The mobile application is very interactive and has lots of useful

HOW DOES IT WORK:

The app uses radar and bluetooth to find your pets location. It will give you an exact location if your pet is within a two hundred foot radius and you'll also receive an alert if your pet is within another Pawscout users radius.

If your pet becomes lost, you can send out a "lost pet flyer" on the application which alerts other Pawscout users in the area that your pet is lost. They can view your pets detailed pet profile so if your pet is found they can alert you and have all the info they need on how to care for your pet.
